I moved to Honmoku from Tokyo in the spring 39 years ago. I remember the magnificent cherry blossoms along Honmoku Street at the time. I'm sure many people moved there with the hope that a redevelopment project would bring commercial facilities, schools, and apartment complexes to the vacant area, as well as a subway line and the creation of a new town. 40 years later, the Honmoku area has grown to 20,000 households, but the number of bus services has recently decreased, and while plans for a subway remain, the area remains completely untouched. Meanwhile, I learned that an NPO called "Let's Run an LRT in Yokohama" has been working on an LRT project for the past 20 years.

We believe that LRT will be a means of transportation that will contribute to the convenience of daily life and revitalize the Honmoku area.

(I hope that the LRT will be realized together with people who share the same vision, and that Honmoku will be revitalized as an attractive town.)
